Dr. M. Sajid is working as Assistant Professor of Applied Mineralogy and Mineral exploration at the University of Peshawar. He has been actively providing consultative services to the prospecting and exploration of late stage magmatic and hydrothermal mineral deposits of Pakistan which includes REEs mineralization in alkaline rocks of KP districts, Li, Cu and Antimony systems in Chitral region and Au-Cu system in Chaghi, Baluchistan. He obtained the doctoral degree from the reputed Camborne School of Mines in the United Kingdom, which is followed by the honorary post-doctoral research at the GFZ Potsdam, Germany in the of field Applied Mineralogy and Geochemistry. Dr. Sajid is a well-trained scientist on multiple analytical instrumentations used in mineral exploration including SIMS, LA ICP-MS, XRF, EPMA and SEM. His research is targeting the Himalayan mountain belt, its evolution and mineral reserves using geochemical approach. He presented his research work in multiple conferences across the world and published in reputed journals
